Footsteps of Obsession

”Footsteps of Obsession” 🎨 by Dan Victor • watercolor, charcoal, ink and pencil on paper. I was obsessed once in my life, over a girl. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. Analyzing every interaction for some proof, that she cared for me the same way I did for her. She didn’t.

The poem in the art ->

LIKE A PAGEANT OF LOST, CONFIRMED BELIEVERS.
UNABLE TO ESCAPE THE FOOTSTEPS OF OBSESSION.
HARDLY ABLE TO REALIZE THE REASON FOR ACTION.
WALKING INTO THE WALL OVER AND OVER AGAIN,

UNTIL YOU CAN SEE THE BARRIER AND TURN.
(INTO ANOTHER WALL)

Done in my bedroom when I lived in San Diego 2001. Even though it was sunny, I didn’t spend that much time outside. Depression, weed, music and art.

It was a shame I didn’t take more advantage of the most perfect weather anywhere. But maybe it inspired some great art peripherally.
