”Smoking Bather” 🎨 by Dan Victor • Almost like a scene from a movie, a naked woman bathing while they smoke and let the cigarette burn as she becomes lost in thought.
The ashtray on the edge of the bathtub is already full of butts, so she must have been in the water a while. Her arm has lines upon her wrists, not because she is cutting her wrist. They are scars from previous attempts. She wears a smile, suggesting that all is well now, after going through some hard times.
This is and 18 x 27″ watercolor on paper with brown cante and charcoal. I tied to get a nice translucence with her body in the water. I just had fun with it. There is lots of fun patterns to look at close up. I feel like it has a decent amount of depth.
