“Unwanted Caress” ✍🏼 by Dan Victor • This is a depiction of something I witnessed in high school, something that happens all too often in our society. There was a girl I was friends that I witnessed being groped openly in gym class. It was obvious that she didn’t want that kind of attention. Many of the popular boys were doing this to a number of girls. The gym teacher either didn’t notice or didn’t care.⠀⠀
I talked to her about it and said it wasn’t right that they were doing that. I urged her to say something to get the boys in trouble. She told me she didn’t want to. It would be easier to endure it than to make an issue of it. That maid me sad for her.⠀⠀
That has stayed with me to this day. There are many stories I have heard over the years that are similar and worse.⠀⠀
This is my statement that men like this are creeps. I don’t like creeps. Please don’t be one of them. Respect women’s space. Cat calling is not cool. And back the fuck up.⠀⠀
