Swipe Right

“Swipe Right” πŸ“² by Dan Victor. From a sketchbook a while ago, before smart phones, But staring at a photo of someone you lost doesn’t change. I have a box of old photos with rounded corners, held together with #packingtape and bits of box that were only connected because of the massive amount of tape I have layer over the years. Opening and closing every time I move.⁣⠀

I have moved many times in my life. Across the country and back East. It blows my mind to find out some have never moved at all. Although, since 2006, I have called Bushwick home.⁣⠀
β €
This drawing was done right around the time I moved here. I remember what the photo was literally about, but I would rather wonder myself. Like I try to forget, so I could be surprised. ⁣⠀
β €
Drawing surprises me. Writing, ahhhh not as much. I love to write and you must read this saying, ‘Well why read any further?’. I absolutely love the subtlety of language, especially expressed in person. It’s just that I need to know where the writing is going, for clarity, the words draw the picture. But the picture communicates immediately, if successful. ⁣
